Tidemill school invitation-only meeting

Further to my post about a public meeting on Thursday, it turns out that this event is invitation-only.

This was revealed in a letter to parents from the Tidemill School head. Crosswhatfields blog has the whole story here.

I just discovered, following a comment on the Crosswhatfields blog, that the Tidemill.net website links were dead.

So much for their undertaking to consult the wider community.

I'll probably get condemned by the school for being ''overtly political'' for this, but I think people should be aware of what is going on. So, while the school is withholding the documents, there's a scanned copy of the consultation document here....

I was turned away because I'm not a parent. Any decision to be made should be done so at after consultation with the wider community; its not enough just to consult with parents that happen to have kids of school age at this particular moment in time, the fall out from this could effect our community for decades.
