Sunday morning cycle ride

One way to avoid the crowds and the heat is to get up early on a Sunday morning and bike down the river to Surrey Docks for a couple of hours.

Join the cygnets in admiring how (relatively) delightful Surrey Quays is without any shoppers;

...bask in the early morning heat along with the ducklings and assorted waterfowl;

...explore the unexpected beauty of the Surrey Quays hinterland and wallow in the cool shade of Russia Docks Woodland along with the other early risers.

Shh, don't tell everyone about the pleasures of early morning rides in Summer or they'll all clog the roads up!

I saw those cygnets today - I had to make a journey to Decathlon after 4 different punctures in 10 miles had exhausted my supply of spare inner tubes and patches. I appear to have deeply offended the gods of pneumatics.

Oh dear Marmoset what have you done to bring down such wrath?! Perhaps you had recently been boasting about not having had a puncture for years...? That's what usually happens to me!
