I add them to my collection of 'architectural monstrosities of south east London'. I have also been to many presentations by architects in which they show photos of buildings they abhor as well as buildings they admire. Unless you have specifically asked people whether they like the building they are photographing, I don't think you can draw such conclusions.Deptford Damehttp://deptforddame.blogspot.co.uk/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7397970649062371366.post-62832156489441549452013-03-23T14:38:43.816+00:002013-03-23T14:38:43.816+00:00re beauty and the beholder's eye, I frequently...re beauty and the beholder's eye, I frequently see visitors to the area snapping photos of not only Laban but Creekside as well, and so it would appear that many find it quite striking... My own experience is that visitors who stay with me in Deptford are not impressed by its form, but as comments here and on other posts demonstrate, beauty is in the eye of the beholder so there are always going to be contrasting opinions. Nevertheless I still stand by my original comments that the scale of the development is out of all proportion to its surroundings, not forgetting that the first phase is the lower and smaller of the two proposed parts of the development. I find this particular fact profoundly depressing.Deptford Damenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7397970649062371366.post-78636672080422968642012-08-30T22:21:07.821+00:002012-08-30T22:21:07.821+00:00What an interesting article to read for my home of...What an interesting article to read for my home of over a year. And what a contrastive opinion too. <br />Although there are a few good points where I could agree, generally the development is admired rather than detested. The flat size is really decent and rooms are spacious. And I really could not ask for more light thanks to the ceiling to floor windows.. (I do face north, thank God!) For me the development is modern, elegant and sleek, and personally I feel proud to live here. Visitors seem to be fond of it too..Creekside private residentnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7397970649062371366.post-90583359125030947012011-11-02T07:55:22.227+00:002011-11-02T07:55:22.227+00:00This looks amazing.
